What you see from above

One of the things about aerial photography is that things show up that you were not expecting. For example you might expect a snow scene from above to be white everywhere and looking very festive. However the reality may be dark scarring in the snow of tyre marks dirtying the snowscape. Of course you can photoshop and make changes but whilst you have control of the scene you must bear this in mind at the time.

This is also true of doing a photography session for a wedding or an event at the chosen venue. Do some detective work beforehand to ensure there is no major distraction at the chosen scene. The last thing you want to do is to arrange to do a “Love Heart” scene with people around the wedding couple to find that there is scaffolding in place! The old adage of “fail to prepare – prepare to fail” comes to mind, but if there are tractors or cars or anything that is moveable in advance – then you can arrange to get them moved. It will save a lot of time in editing.
